Lassa Fever: Four doctors, one patient die at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital
At least Five people have died to a suspected case of Lassa Fever in Kano State.
Out of the number, four are medical professionals and a pregnant woman who underwent Cesarian Section at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Spokesman of the Nigeria Medical Association who confirmed the deaths said the doctors assisted in the operation of the pregnant woman who died three weeks ago of hemorrhagic fever suspected to be Lassa.
On its part, Kano Ministry for Health says it had since taken blood samples for investigation. According to the Ministry it would take 48 hours for the results to be seen.
