Many Still Trapped As Four-Storeyed Building Collapses On Lagos Island
A four-storey building has collapsed at 3 Massey Street on Lagos Island, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, with many people still trapped in the debris.
As at press time, more than 14 persons had been rescued from the rubble and taken to different hospitals for treatment.
The LASEMA General Manager, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu, called for calm as rescue operation continued.
Other agencies involved in the operation include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Red Cross and the police. Heavy duty equipment is searching through the rubble
