Alleged Consensual Affair: Celtics Coach Ime Udoka Faces Suspension

The Boston Celtics made it to the NBA Finals last season, after a slow start they caught fire in the second half of the season and ended up back in contention for the Larry O’Brien Trophy where they lost to the eventual champion Golden State Warriors, all under the guidance of rookie head coach Ime Udoka.

However, as the Celtics prepare to start the second year under Udoka, a news has shaken the NBA planet because according to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the strategist would be facing a long punishment, which is not known if it would be determined by the NBA itself and directly by the Cetics, all this for violating an unspecified organizational guideline, however, for now there is no more specific information about it.

There is also speculation that the announcement of the suspension could come as early as next Thursday, however, according to Wojnarowski, Udoka’s job is not in jeopardy, despite his extended absence.

Wojnarowski reported that there are currently discussions among Celtics executives as to what steps to take in the immediate future, however, the uncertainty could hurt Boston’s intention to repeat as Eastern Conference champions, despite the roster being virtually the same as the 2021-2022 NBA season.
