Armed Forces Remembrance Day: ISGN calls for renewed war against terror

The Integration Summit Group Nigeria (ISG-N) has called for greater synergy between the Federal Government and the Military in waging a renewed war against terror.

In a statement issued by the Convener of the organization, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, he commiserated with the families of the fallen heroes and prayed for the reose of their soul.

“As Nigeria honours the fallen heroes who laid their lives for the nation today, January 15th, the need for standardization and re-engineering of Nigeria Military forces is again on the front burner.

“Integration Summit Group Nigeria salutes the courage of the military personnel who voluntarily honoured the national call and have fallen in the line of duty to protect the territorial integrity of the nation and maintenance of peace and security.

“The war against insurgency, armed banditry, terrorism and kidnapping should be taken seriously at this time. A robust synergy between the military and the federal government must be maintained to sustain the tempo and increase the efficiency of the protecting lives of every Nigerian, irrespective of tribe, religion or political difference.

“This is not the time for rhetorics but action towards combatting the security challenges across the country. The serving military forces who are at the frontline and trenches must be determined and more focused in the task of peace, nation building and unity.

“ISGN commiserates with the families of the fallen heroes on this solemn occasion and pray for the repose of their souls.

“May the efforts of these gallant heroes never be in vain”, he stated.
