At 40, Super Falcons’ Onome Ebi Will be Oldest Player at FIFA Women’s World Cup

Aging Like Fine Wine and at 40, Super Falcons of Nigeria defender Onome Ebi will be the oldest player at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Onome made her debut for the Super Falcons of Nigeria in 2003 and she has gone on to win 4 WAFCON trophies.

She was the oldest player (age 39) at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
