Insecurity: Major streets of Owerri deserted over sit-at-home order by IPOB

It is an unusual Sunday morning in Owerri the Imo State capital as major streets are almost empty occasioned by the Sit-at-home order by leader of the proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra.

Owerri is usually busy on Sundays because of church activities but today is a different ball game as residents may afraid of likely eventualities especially the recent security challenge in the south east region.

The State Government and the police in the State have asked residents to go about their lawful businesses and ignore the Sit-at-home directive but the people tend to be at home for safety.
