Lagos orders shutdown of schools, night clubs over spread of Covid-19

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed all civil servants in the state from Grade Level 14 and below to start working from home effective December 21, 2020.

The governor gave the directive on Friday following an increase in cases of Covid-19 in the state.

In his statement , the governor also directed that all schools be shut down, concerts, carnivals, planned in the state be cancelled.

Governor Sanwoolu also directed all night clubs to close down with immediate effects while warning religious organizations to strictly adhere with Covid-19 procedures and ensure their services do not exceed 2 hours, as well as operates at 50 per cent capacity.

Recall that the governor tested positive for COVID19 on 11th of December and since then he has been in isolation receiving treatment.
