A Member representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai-Palace has on Saturday distributed 80 tricycles and 100 motorcycles in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.
The gesture was part of his youth empowerment programme to his constituents in the state, and contribution to end security challenges and poverty among their populace..
Mai-Palace has been consistent in bringing succor to the people in Gusau and Tsafe local government areas, through empowerment programmes and sponsoring thousands with free scholarship at different levels.
The House Member had recently empowered hundreds of youths in the state with local business materials and money, among other gestures. This is in addition to construction and renovation of drainages, bridges and schools amongst other multiple number od projects he executed in the two areas.
Mai-Palace had organized a Town Hall with his people, as well as the provision of over 500 Grinding machine and 100 sewing machines to women and men in the state,” he said.
While chatting with journalists on Saturday shortly after the launching of the program, Mai-Palace expressed optimism that the insecurity in the state could be curtailed through empowering youths and women sponsoring others to schools.
“This is part of my campaign promises to my constituents and since I assumed office, I have done a lot that has to do with human development in terms of healthcare services, education, job opportunities, federal government empowerment schemes, boreholes, purchasing desks to schools, office furniture for different institutions.
“All these projects are aimed at complementing the efforts of the Federal Government and Zamfara State Government in improving education, healthcare services, Agriculture and providing empowerment opportunities to our teaming youths….. and Governor Matawalle is up and doing to address every single issue of the state,” he added.
“I believe in empowerment because that’s the easiest way to create wealth and bridge the unemployment gaps – and that will make impact on people’s lives as well as playing role in degrading the sharpness of insecurity in the state. I’ll continue to devote everything I have to help our youths and women to be self-reliant. There’s no single day that I don’t attend to people in Abuja, many don’t come my constituency even, but we’re representing people and all opportunities are for them.” Mai-Palace said.
He however appealed to all the beneficiaries to make good use of the tricycles, motorcycles and other materials to sustain themselves and create wealth.
The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, commended Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai-Palace for the gesture, saying “Zamfara state has never witnessed a true and hardworking federal lawmaker that serves people well like Honourable Kabiru Amadu Mai-Palace.
“We’re very proud to call you our own, especially with this empowerment schemes you have been doing since day one and the subsequent ones coming.”
“This commendation is not only from party at state level, but also national. I cannot remember how many times I have invited for empowerment by Mai-Palace within one year.
“PDP remains indebted to you and we assure you our maximum support whenever and wherever the need arises.”
According to him, the lawmaker has conducted a lot of empowerment initiatives since 2019, explaining that the current program gulped millions of Naira.
