Video: Christians, Muslims Clash In Kwara State Over Hijab

Some people have been reported wounded as Muslims and Christians throw stones at each following the refusal of Christian leaders to allow Muslim female students to wear hijab in grant-aided Christian-named government schools in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

Government had announced the reopening of the affected ten schools on Wednesday but some Christian leaders barricaded the schools while some Muslims also mobilized to the schools.

At Baptist LGEA primary schools, Surulere, Ilorin tension was high Wednesday morning as both Christians and Muslims freely threw stones at other other.

Security operatives found it difficult to control the situation.
