WAEC releases results, withholds 215,149 scores over malpractices

The West African Examination Council has released the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results for school candidates.

The result showed that a total of one million, three thousand, six hundred and sixty eight candidates representing 65.24 percent of the one million, five hundred and thirty eight thousand, four hundred and fourty five students that wrote the examination, obtained a minimum of 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics.

The Head of the Nigerian Office of WAEC, Patrick Areghan, announced during a press conference that the results of 215, 149 candidates, representing 13.98 per cent of those that sat for the examinations are being withheld for various reasons.
